Bald is Beautiful

Monday 27 March 2017

Maren was born with little to no hair and now four months old she's starting to grow little peach fuzz. More often than not our sweet little girl has been mistaken for a little boy, don't get me wrong at this stage in the game it's pretty hard to tell. When I discovered Baby Wisp hair clips I can honestly say I was hesitant to think these little clips could hold little to no hair on a baby's head. Yet after I purchased one I realized that it was worth the hype and made such a statement to any outfit and not to mention the perk of not being mistaken as a boy!

When the founder of Baby Wisp, Beena contacted me and sent me some wonderful new accessories I knew I had to let other mamas know of how great these little clips are! These clips work by combing your baby's fine baby hair or peach fuzz which then is secured to their head and believe it or not the clip does not slip off with movement! I had to play with them to get comfortable opening and shutting them as I was scared to push too hard on Maren's head, but I found using two hands made all the difference when placing them on. After awhile I've been able to one hand it and all this time Maren hadn't cried or whined with them on, to be honest I don't think she even realizes that one's on her little head!
These clips come in a wide variety of colours and sizes so I know you'll be able to find ones that will fit your style and outfits! They also have great clips and headbands for older babies and toddlers! I really wish I knew about these when she was first born as they would have made a great first accessory!

So with that being said I have collaborated with the great people at Baby Wisp to do an amazing giveaway just in time for Easter! The package includes wonderful goodies in the perfect spring colours for your little babe to enjoy! Head over to my Instagram account for more details on how to enter! Contest is available to US and Canada and will run until this upcoming Wednesday with winner announced Thursday morning! Good luck mamas and hope you check out Baby Wisps' for the perfect accessory for your little bald beauties!

#Mombun

Monday 20 March 2017

The so called "mombun" does not have to be associated with dysfunction and chaos but rather reflect on all mamas out there who pull their hair up and get things done! I'm pretty sure I've been rocking this bun way more than I'd like these days but as my hair regresses during the 3-4 month post partum stage, putting my hair up seems to be the only way to control the shed! The new wispies I've acquired are just plain annoying but its all part of the process and until my baby hairs catch up our new best friend hairspray has been saving the day! By having a more sleeker look I find that the bun can sophisticate any outfit!

For all those other mamas who may be going through the same stage I feel ya and hear ya! Hopefully a little bit of product will help you along your own journey!

Keen For Green

Thursday 16 March 2017

Well it didn't occur to me until now that I do not really own any bright shamrock green clothing, however I am noticing a passion for the more muted khaki green shades. I have been living in the cargos from my previous post and these are no exception! I believe this colour is a perfect transition piece that helps me think of warm spring thoughts.

I cannot believe this weather we are having because I swear a couple days ago I was totally rocking sneakers and flood pants! Anyways hope this post brings more warmth and spring vibes!

Strollin' into Spring

Monday 6 March 2017

Weather in Southern Ontario remains to be just plain weird! Do not get me wrong I love winter but the past couple weeks have been so inconsistent with no real snow that I'm totally over it and ready for spring to come! I have been itching to get outdoors and venture off with the girls.

Now as a mama of two, my stroller has become even more of a necessity that I cannot live without! I know that a lot of people may think that it's crazy to spend so much on such an apparatus but our Uppababy Vista has been a dream that will keep on giving (totally needing to get the piggyback for our curious toddler). If anyone else is like me and gets stroller obsessed, the new models for 2017 are super dreamy! They have incorporated leather handles that puts the already upscale stroller up another level and well who wouldn't want one?!

So just like that new car feeling, getting these leather handle covers from Lux and Leather was the perfect touch to give our Vista a facelift! These covers are made with the softest leather and was super easy to put on! The husband took on the lace-ups and took just over half an hour to do both handles. I love how the lace-up keeps the covers very tight and secure to the handle and the stitching gives it an added touch of style! They have an amazing selection of colours and if you check out their Instagram you can see how other mamas have upgraded their strollers. I couldn't be happier with how they turned out and cannot wait to get strolling this season!
